Pilot qualifications required to fly a
Piper Malibu or Piper Mirage are fairly uniform throughout the insurance
industry. In general, 1000 hours PIC, 250+ high performance
retract and a credible instrument rating with plenty of actual
instrument, will be enough to get a quote. However, a 700 hour
pilot, instrument rated and 500 hours in a high performance aircraft
might also be considered.
